As a child I always dreamed of having a game closet just like our friends “the Gross’s”. The issue was, we never put games away for them to last long enough to accumulate. So we never had a game closet!
So having an organized game closet has been my dream for year!
So how do you get that dreamy game closet
1. Purge : Go through your games and throw out anything that’s broken or missing pieces. Give away any game that isn’t really used.
2. Put back the games vertically on the shelf- it’s “game changer” (pun intended). Easy to access and put away. Test each game fist to make sure it doesn’t fall apart when stored on its side. Sometimes it needs a piece of packing tape in order to repair the box. Bonus: Color code the boxes for an added pretty look!
3. Don’t transfer all your games to plastic game boxes.
I know it looks nice but it's less visual and therefore kids don’t play with it as much. Only transfer your games if the boxes are beyond repair
or you can use standard shoe boxes .
4. Transfer small games and card games that can often get lost on the shelf. We love this card game organizer.
5. Don’t forget labels! Here’s Our favorite label maker.
With a few good products and a few hours of work you too can have a dreamy playroom closet!
Happy Organizing!
